We’re staying in Mons, Belgium right now before Pino Cerami tomorrow. I left right after Georgia with Cruz and Tolleson while Mckissick, Sayers, and Garcia have been staying out here since Criterium International. Wyss and Kohler just got in today from Switzerland. The weather seems to be pretty nice and of what we saw of the course today the course looks good as well.

On our way over here we came across a picture of a swiss army knife in a magazine. When I first saw it I thought to myself why didn’t they just make a miniature tool box. The knife is supposedly 2 pounds and 9 inches long?

Back at Redlands. Eating at El Burrito. D-Spot loves this place. But little does he know tacos are no longer one dollar. Plus, there is no chicken option for anything.

Looks like McKissick kept the the BMC tradition alive and headed out for some lone kilometers in Criterium International’s Stage 1 this weekend. Though, I guess he didn’t quite keep the tradition alive since he took a partner along but, still pretty impressive for a guy whose in his 3rd race in Europe.

All the guys looked like they road a great race. Congrats.

Our first trip to Belgium is over. We faired pretty well. With Danilo going 5th one day and most of us making it to the last day. We also lucked out with the weather for the most part and didn’t get wet until the last day. I felt like I was racing motorcycles the whole time. I’ve never raced road in Belgium and my closest experiences of such racing would of been a combination between awhile back racing in Italy and racing in Qatar this Feb. I learned a lot and felt good on one of the days but, came away sore, sick, and pretty dissatisfied in my personal performance. But, I think in general we did well. Many of the guys weren’t even expecting to go and still toughed it out. I was most impressed with Garcia and McKissick for toughing it out and getting better everyday. Anyways, it was a good experience and even a good reality check in many ways.

Rooming with Garcia here in Nivelles, Belgium. We’ve been here for two days, GP Samyn starts tomorrow. Garcia say’s that Scott Nydam is too big of a deal these days and that is why he doesn’t email me anymore or post on his blog. He also says Nydam is busy ironing and framing his numerous agressive rider and KOM jerseys.

The weather is suppose to be good tomorrow but, today we woke up to this:

Garcia woke up at 5 in the morning banging on things and shouting “its snowing out side…huh”!! Then I told him the clock was wrong and it was not 7 it was 5am. He then sighed and back to bed for another 4 hours.

I saw this in the airport. It doesn’t look like that great of an advertisement and at first I was wondering what exactly they are claiming is in Belgian coke.

Sayers and I came across a 20″ laptop…unbelievable.
