another win
Stories No Comments »We won another stage of Superweek last night. This time it was Pete and I who took the lap, Then I went out for another with one of the riders I originally lapped with. I owe the win to all the guys as they pulled a perfect show in the back. No one saw me or the other guy sneak away and we bridged up to a small break that was just up the road. The guys lined it up with Pete on the back like they were going to chase it down so I guess no one assumed that I was up there if they were acting like they were going to chase it down. Anways, the other rider who took a lap, Reid Mumford, and I ended up sprinting for the win.
Superweek
Stories No Comments »Still at Superweek. I haven’t posted lately because, there just hasn’t been much going on. I have eaten at Panera Bread Company nearly every morning I have been here. And today I got to watch a guy get his truck stuck in a ditch and scramble around to get it unstuck. There is alot of contruction going on in Milwaukee and I guess they are putting in some kind of underground pipes or lines or something so they have these huge trenches dug out where the gutters would be, like 2 feet deep or so. This dude, had an older lifted Ford pick up and was moving it to the side of the road so a big Semi could get by, and he drove it right off into the ditch. The truck was all hung up on the front axle with the right front wheel hanging in the ditch. It took him a good half hour to get it out and he dropped his drive shaft while doing it, I don’t know if the U-joint broke or what but, all I know is a bit later the drive shaft was just hanging from underneath the truck.
Anyways, Superweek has gone pretty well, not so much for me but, for most of the guys like Scott, Ben, Dan, and especially Pete. Its been good. We came here to practice our leadout and we are starting to get it dialed. Dan got another 2nd last night and that always burns for awhile. I am pretty confident that we will redeem it with a win in the next few days if all goes well.
