Random dude revisited
Stories No Comments »It seems I have upset someone with my post a couple of weeks ago. I woke up to receive this comment in my inbox.
“At 46 Steve Tilford (the “random dude” in your stories) has most likely won something big every year you have been alive. Wake up and know your competition.
Perhaps he was celebrating the fact that you were so asleep at the wheel that he can still pull one over on you, or maybe he was happy he won. 46 and still chalking NRC wins (regardless of length) hmm, wonder if you’ll pull that off … and if you do will you be happy and show it - or is winning so not worth celebrating.”
I obviously found out who the “random dude” was the day after in the results. This makes that celebration dance even more confusing to me. I mean this dude did everything except get off his bike and do a break dance head spin in front of the line? Perplexing. But, thanks for putting me in my place in the future I will respect my elders.

Stories No Comments »Back on the road now. We just got done doing Rochester last night. Dan should have won. We road hard an tried to make the race happen, looking back at it we should have just saved everything for the finish.
The Rochester race is a great event. I think it blows many of the higher ranked NRC Calendar crits out of the water.
We are heading into Boston right now. We just left Melanie the chiro’s family lake house. She has been great to us ever since we met last year. We went for a spin along the lake, played some horseshoes (Scotty killed me), hit out on the jet ski and got thrashed around on a tube, ate some good old venison for dinner, got an adjustment from Melanie (thanks Melanie) and hit the road.
All in all a good last few days.
